Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for people who have had a stroke at least 6 months ago and still have difficulty using their affected arm. Participants will receive either robotic rehabilitation, occupational therapy, or follow a home exercise program over 5 weeks.

You may be able to join if

  • I have had a stroke at least 6 months ago.
  • I have trouble moving my affected arm.
  • I am willing to join the study and give my consent.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have severe tightness in my wrist and fingers.
  • I have other conditions affecting my affected arm.
  • I have a neurodegenerative or neuromuscular disorder.
  • I have an acute illness affecting other parts of my body.
  • I have severe cognitive or behavioral problems that limit my participation.

About This Trial
The functional recovery of the upper limb represents a critical element in post-stroke rehabilitation; hemiplegic/hemiparetic patients who achieve optimal recovery are a minority, and incomplete recovery has relevant consequences both on functioning and on quality of life of those who survive a stroke.
