Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults with moderate to severe COPD and type 2 inflammation. Participants will be taking depemokimab as an additional treatment along with their current medications.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 40 and 80 years old.
  • I have a history of moderate to severe COPD.
  • I have had at least 2 moderate or 1 severe COPD flare-ups in the past year.
  • I have an elevated blood eosinophil count.
  • I have a BMI of 16 or higher.
  • I am a current or former smoker with at least a 10 pack-year history.
  • I am currently using optimized inhaler therapy.
  • I have a COPD assessment test score of 10 or more.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with asthma.
  • I have another significant lung disease.
  • I had pneumonia, a COPD flare-up, or a lung infection in the last 4 weeks.
  • I have had lung surgery or plan to have lung surgery.
  • I am in the acute phase of a pulmonary rehabilitation program.
  • I need continuous oxygen for more than 12 hours a day.
  • I have severe right heart failure or pulmonary hypertension.
  • I have a known parasitic infection in the last 6 months.

About This Trial

Depemokimab is being developed as a treatment for individuals with moderate to severe COPD. The aim of this study is to assess the efficacy and safety of depemokimab compared as an add-on medicine in participants with uncontrolled moderate to severe COPD with type 2 inflammation.
