This trial is looking for adults with chronic pain from facet joint arthritis in the lower back. Participants will receive a specific treatment to help manage their pain.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 18 and 85 years old.
- I have been diagnosed with spinal facet arthropathy.
- I have been diagnosed with lumbosacral facetogenic pain.
- I have had persistent back pain for at least 6 months.
- My pain is worse than 6 out of 10.
- I have tried other pain management methods without success.
- I have not had more than 2 levels of facetogenic pain in my spine.
- I have a modified Rankin Scale score of 0-2.
You may not be able to join if
- I am pregnant.
- I have had spinal embolization at the target level before.
- I have had surgery or stenting of the aorta at the level of embolization.
- I have a severe allergy to iodinated contrast.
- My creatinine levels are above 1.5 mg/dl.
- I have a modified Rankin Scale score greater than 2.
- I have vascular supply to the spinal cord from the vessels targeted for embolization.
