Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for older patients with advanced esophageal cancer who cannot have surgery. Participants will receive the standard treatment followed by an additional drug called Iparomlimab for one year to see if it helps improve their health outcomes.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am at least 70 years old.
  • I have been diagnosed with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
  • I have measurable or non-measurable cancer lesions.
  • I completed a specific chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
  • I have not received any previous systemic anti-tumor therapy.
  • I have a good performance status.
  • I can provide tumor tissue samples for analysis.
  • My expected survival is at least 3 months.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had surgery for my esophageal cancer.
  • I have an esophageal fistula or risk of serious internal bleeding.
  • I have developed a severe pneumonia after my chemotherapy and radiation.
  • I have lost a significant amount of weight recently without improvement.
  • I have major surgery or trauma within the last 4 weeks.
  • I have active autoimmune disease or history of certain autoimmune conditions.
  • I have a recent severe infection or active tuberculosis.
  • I have been diagnosed with uncontrolled heart disease.

About This Trial
This study was conducted in elderly (≥70 years old) patients with locally advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma (ESCC). Aim to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Iparomlimab consolidation therapy following concurrent chemoradiation with S-1 in elderly patients with unresectable locally advanced ESCC.
