This trial is looking for people aged 45-75 with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes to see if combining electrical stimulation and controlled heat can help increase blood flow to the foot. Participants will wear a special boot for 60 minutes during the treatment.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 45-75 years old
- I have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- My diabetes is under control (HbA1c ≤ 7%)
You may not be able to join if
- I am pregnant
- I currently smoke
- I have been diagnosed with neuropathy
- I have uncontrolled high blood pressure
- I am allergic to tape or electrodes
- I have a history of knee joint replacement
- I have significant joint pain that would limit wearing a boot
- I have certain serious medical conditions like COPD or heart disease
