Inclusion Criteria:
* Age \>18 years;
* Both sexes;
* Diagnosis of acute ischemic stroke confirmed by clinical evaluation by a neurologist and neuroimaging (CT or brain MRI);
* Acute ischemic stroke with symptom onset within 48 hours;
