Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for participants with cancer-related abdominal pain that does not improve with pain medication. By joining, I may receive a new approach to radiation therapy that could help reduce my pain more quickly.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with cancer that cannot be surgically removed.
  • I am over 18 years old.
  • I have severe abdominal pain that scores at least 5 out of 10.
  • I can understand and sign a consent form.
  • I have a recent scan showing the celiac plexus.
  • I have had previous cancer treatments.
  • My performance status is 3 or lower on the ECOG scale.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had radiation therapy to my upper abdomen before.
  • I am pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • I have inflammatory bowel disease or scleroderma.
  • I have had a pregnancy test that is positive within 14 days of starting.

About This Trial
Participants who are experiencing abdominal pain due to having cancer in their pancreas may be eligible for this research study. Inclusion Criteria: * Participants must have histologically or cytologically confirmed cancer that is metastatic or unresectable, and considered appropriate per the treating physician to receive celiac plexus SBRT. * Age \>18 years.
