This trial is looking for children aged 2 to 12 who are scheduled for tonsil surgery. Participants will receive either remimazolam or ciprofol during their procedure to see how it affects their recovery.
You may be able to join if
- I am aged 2-12 years
- I am in ASA physical status I or II
- My body mass index is between 14-28 kg/m²
- I am scheduled for elective tonsillectomy with or without adenoidectomy
- My legal guardian has signed informed consent
- I am 8 years or older and have given my assent
You may not be able to join if
- I have a history of severe pulmonary diseases
- I have had significant PRAEs before
- I am allergic to remimazolam, propofol, or ciprofol
- I have uncorrected congenital heart disease
- I have neuromuscular disorders
- I have developmental delay
- I have abnormal liver or kidney function
- I have had a moderate-to-severe respiratory infection that needed my surgery to be postponed
