Inclusion Criteria:
* Admission to paediatric intensive care unit (PICU)
* Central venous catheter placement (central or peripherally inserted)
* Informed consent obtained from parent/legal guardian
Exclusion Criteria:
* Known immunological disorders
* Neutropenia (\<500/mm³)
