Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for adults with cancer who experience anxiety during chemotherapy. Participants will receive different types of massage therapy during their infusion sessions to see if it helps reduce anxiety.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years of age or older.
- I have had at least 1 cycle of chemotherapy.
- I have a baseline anxiety score greater than 3.
- I am scheduled for at least six more chemotherapy sessions.
- I have had a complete blood count test within the last 24 hours.
You may not be able to join if
- I have a platelet count less than 20,000.
- I have an absolute neutrophil count less than 500.
- I have received radiation therapy in the past 90 days.
- I am currently using a cold therapy device.
- I have had surgery on my foot, leg, head, neck, shoulder, hands, or arms in the past three months.
- I have rashes, open wounds, or skin conditions that could get worse with massage.
- I have ongoing uncontrolled psychiatric conditions that would interfere with the study.
- I am pregnant.

* The study is open to all participants regardless of gender, race, or ethnicity
