Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for boys and girls aged 12 to 21 who have Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy and have difficulty using their hands. Participants will try a treatment called Transcutaneous Spinal Cord Stimulation along with specific arm and hand exercises to see if it helps improve their arm and hand movements.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 12 and 21 years old.
  • I have been diagnosed with Hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy.
  • I have trouble using my hands in daily activities.
  • I have stable medical conditions.
  • I can perform simple tasks like reaching or grasping objects.
  • I can attend two sessions for this trial.
  • I can provide my own consent or my parent or guardian can consent for me.
  • I can speak English.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have another neurological disease besides cerebral palsy.
  • I have high blood pressure that is not controlled.
  • I have had major surgery recently without enough recovery time.
  • I have heart or lung diseases.
  • I have ongoing medical issues like unhealed fractures or infections.
  • I can't follow the study procedures safely.
  • I or someone in my family has a history of epilepsy.
  • I have had botulinum toxin injections in the past six months.
