Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults with a type of blood cancer called acute myeloid leukemia who have previously received specific treatments. Participants will take a combination of medicines to see if it helps their condition.

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia.
  • I have had a complete response to specific initial treatment.
  • I have a mutation called IDH1-R132.
  • I have received no more than 4 cycles of initial treatment.
  • I am at least 18 years old.
  • I am in good health except for my leukemia.
  • I can take azacitidine treatment.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have received prior IDH1 inhibitor therapy.
  • I have a different type of cancer that is not disease-free.
  • I have received major surgery or radiation therapy recently.
  • I have severe heart problems.
  • I have a history of uncontrolled infections.
  • I am pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • I have a history of HIV infection.

About This Trial
This phase II trial studies how well giving olutasidenib with azacitidine, followed by olutasidenib maintenance, works in treating patients with IDH1-mutated acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have received prior treatment with venetoclax plus a hypomethylating agent (HMA-Ven).
