Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is a highly heterogeneous B-cell hematological malignancy characterized by clonal expansion and accumulation of morphologically mature B-lymphocytes with a peculiar immunophenotype in peripheral blood, bone marrow, and secondary lymphoid tissues.
