Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for people with early Parkinson's Disease who have not received treatment yet. Participants will take either the new drug SUL-238 or a placebo for 28 days and attend clinic visits for check-ups during and after treatment.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I have been diagnosed with untreated Parkinson's Disease within the last year.
  • I have bradykinesia and at least one other symptom such as rigidity or tremors.
  • I have a Montreal Cognitive Assessment score of 22 or higher.
  • I am 40 years old or older.
  • I can understand the study and provide signed consent.
  • I am able to complete all required tests.
  • I am willing to use effective contraception if I can get pregnant.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have a history of atypical parkinsonism or other neurodegenerative diseases.
  • I have a history of significant psychiatric disorders, except resolved mild depression or anxiety.
  • I test positive for Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or HIV.
  • I have high levels of liver enzymes.
  • I have taken other investigational products in the last 90 days.
  • I have a significant sensitivity or allergy to study medications.
  • I have a pregnancy test that is positive, or I am lactating.
  • I have a history of significant heart or other medical issues.

About This Trial
The main goal of the study is to investigate how well the new drug SUL-238 works in Parkinson's Disease (PD). This is done by means of an MRS scan. An MRS scan is similar to a regular MRI scan.
