Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for parents and their children aged 3 to 24 months, both healthy and those with specific brain injuries. Participants will play virtual games and answer questions about their child's behavior during online meetings.

You may be able to join if

  • I am the parent or legal guardian of a child aged 3-24 months
  • My child has a history of perinatal brain injury
  • My child does not have a prior history of brain injury
  • My child has no neurological disorders
  • My child has not been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • My child is healthy and has no prior neurological history

You may not be able to join if

  • My child has had a brain injury in the past
  • My child has been diagnosed with cerebral palsy
  • My child has a history of a neurological disorder
  • My child has been admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • My child has chromosomal abnormalities, genetic syndromes, or major congenital malformations

About This Trial

This research focuses on the long-term cognitive development of children, including healthy infants and those who had a perinatal brain injury. As part of this research study, children complete virtual game and assessments. Parents will be asked to fill out questionnaires about their child's behavior and stress in the home. All study visits will take place online via Zoom.
