This trial is looking for people with Parkinson's disease who have deep brain stimulation devices. Participants will help researchers understand how different types of cycling exercise affect their movement and brain function.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.
- I have a deep brain stimulation device from Medtronic.
- My DBS settings have been stable for at least one month.
- I can walk for 5 continuous minutes, with or without help.
- I am willing to stop my Parkinson's medications and DBS stimulation for the study.
You may not be able to join if
- I have difficulty understanding or giving consent due to cognitive issues.
- I have another neurological condition like multiple sclerosis or had a stroke.
- I have musculoskeletal issues that limit my ability to exercise.
- I currently have heart rhythm problems.
- I do not want to get medical clearance if required.

* Clinical diagnosis of Parkinson's disease
* Previous placement of bilateral Medtronic Percept DBS as standard of care treatment for PD
* Clinically optimized DBS parameters for one month prior to enrollment
