About This Trial
Periodontitis is a prevalent chronic inflammatory disease driven by a dysbiotic oral biofilm and a dysregulated host immune response. Standard non-surgical periodontal therapy (NSPT) is primarily mechanical and, in selected cases, may be accompanied by antiseptics or systemic antibiotics.
