This trial is looking for adults over 60 who are waiting for a kidney transplant. Participants will track their physical activity and join online exercise classes from home for 12 weeks.

You may be able to join if

  • I am at least 60 years old
  • I receive transplant care at Penn Medicine
  • I am on the kidney transplant waiting list
  • I speak and understand English
  • I can walk
  • I have at least one physical function limitation or frailty
  • I have internet access and can use an app
  • I can provide written consent and have medical clearance to exercise

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had a heart attack or stroke in the past 3 months
  • I cannot self-monitor with study devices
  • I have not been cleared to exercise
  • I am participating in another physical activity study
  • I have another reason that would prevent me from completing the study

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if a home-based exercise program can be safely and feasibly used to improve physical activity and physical function in adults waiting for a kidney transplant.
