Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults with painful knee osteoarthritis. Participants will receive either Arthrosamid or standard steroid treatment to see which is more effective.

You may be able to join if

  • I am an adult
  • I have knee pain on one side
  • I have been diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis grades II-IV on x-ray or MRI

You may not be able to join if

  • I have an inflammatory condition
  • I have cancer
  • I have an acute infection
  • I am pregnant or breastfeeding
  • I have uncontrolled diabetes
  • I have other knee joint diseases
  • I have had knee surgery with a metallic implant
  • I have had a knee arthroscopy in the past 6 months

About This Trial

This study will be a randomised control trial of the use of intra-articular Arthrosamid® a novel intraarticular hydrogel vs. standard of care (steroid and local anaesthetic) for the non-operative management of knee osteoarthritis.
