This trial is looking for people who are scheduled for a colonoscopy and who currently do not use GLP-1 medications. Participants will help researchers understand how long GLP-1 medications should be stopped before the colonoscopy to ensure good preparation.
You may be able to join if
- I am scheduled for a total colonoscopy.
- I am between 18 and 70 years old.
- I have a performance status of 0 or 1.
- I have given written consent to participate.
- I am an outpatient.
- I can stop any medications that affect gastrointestinal motility at least 3 days before the colonoscopy.
You may not be able to join if
- I have severe health conditions that make colonoscopy unsafe.
- I have had surgery on my stomach, small bowel, or colon.
- I have a family history of hereditary colorectal cancer.
- I currently have or have had inflammatory bowel disease.
- I have known colorectal polyp syndromes.
- I have a body mass index (BMI) over 40.
- I have liver cirrhosis.
- I have been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease or dementia.
