This trial is looking for adults with Major Depressive Disorder and healthy volunteers without depression. Participants will undergo NIRS testing during up to five visits to help assess depression severity.
You may be able to join if
- I am at least 18 years old.
- I have signed informed consent.
- I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder.
- I am receiving treatment for depression at SFVAMC.
- I am a healthy volunteer without depression.
You may not be able to join if
- I cannot sign informed consent.
- I have depression.
- I have anxiety or other mental health disorders.
- I have a major neurocognitive disorder.
- I have a neurologic disorder with anatomic lesions.
- I have a psychotic disorder.
- I am not receiving treatment for depression at SFVAMC.
