Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for patients who are having knee surgery for an ACL injury and have a meniscus tear. Participants will take a daily pill called montelukast or a placebo for 6 months after their surgery.

You may be able to join if
- I am undergoing primary ACL reconstruction
- I am between 25 and 50 years old
- I have a meniscus injury
You may not be able to join if
- I am undergoing a revision procedure
- I have multiple ligament injuries requiring reconstruction
- I have depressive symptoms or suicidal thoughts
- I do not have a meniscus tear at the time of surgery

About This Trial
This is a multicenter randomized, placebo-controlled trial to assess whether a 6-month course of oral montelukast after ACL reconstruction reduces systemic markers of inflammation and biochemical and imaging biomarkers of cartilage degradation. Inclusion Criteria:
1. Undergoing primary ACL reconstruction
2. Age between 25-50
3. Concomitant meniscus injury

1. Undergoing revision procedures
