This trial is looking for women with specific types of breast cancer to see if combining pembrolizumab with radiation therapy is a safe and effective treatment. Participants will receive treatment and can help researchers understand its effectiveness compared to standard radiation therapy alone.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am a woman at least 18 years old.
  • I have been diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer or hormone-receptor positive breast cancer.
  • I am experiencing metastatic or recurrent breast cancer.
  • I have measurable disease that can be tracked.
  • I can provide a tissue sample for testing.
  • I agree to not breastfeed during the study and for 180 days after treatment.
  • I am able to swallow and take oral medications.
  • I have good organ function as per lab tests.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have received more than 3 lines of systemic therapy for breast cancer.
  • I am pregnant or breastfeeding.
  • I have a positive pregnancy test before starting treatment.
  • I have certain conditions that affect my organ function.

About This Trial

The purpose of this study is to find out whether adding pembrolizumab, with or without olaparib, to standard radiation therapy is a safe and effective treatment for metastatic breast cancer, , and to see whether the study treatment is better than, the same as, or worse than the usual approach (radiation therapy alone).
