Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for healthcare workers and COVID-19 patients who have experienced trauma related to their work. Participants will take part in ten virtual reality therapy sessions to help reduce their PTSD symptoms.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I am a healthcare worker or a COVID-19 patient experiencing trauma.
- I speak English.
- I am 18 years old or older.
- I am medically stable.
- I have been diagnosed with PTSD or subthreshold PTSD.
- I can provide informed consent and complete assessments.
- I have been stable on my psychiatric medication for the past 60 days.
You may not be able to join if
- I have a significant unstable medical illness that prevents me from attending sessions.
- I currently have thoughts of harming myself or others.
- I have been diagnosed with schizophrenia or another psychotic disorder.
- I am participating in another clinical trial or treatment for PTSD in the past 3 months.
- I have a history of motion sickness or seizures.

About This Trial
Healthcare workers and COVID-19 patients may experience psychological distress consequent to the pandemic, and are at particularly elevated risk for experiencing posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), based on evidence from previous infectious disease outbreaks. * A COVID-19 patient or any healthcare worker providing medical care or support who experiences occupational-related trauma
* English-speaking
* Age ≥18
