This trial is looking for adults living with HIV who have depression. Participants will receive a psychological treatment and undergo tests to see how it affects their gut health and brain function.
You may be able to join if
- I am 18 years or older
- I can speak and read English
- I have confirmed HIV+ status and take my medications
- I have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder
- I have a stable dose of antidepressants for at least 2 months
- My HIV viral load is suppressed
- I can complete fMRI scans
You may not be able to join if
- I cannot provide informed consent
- I have an active, untreated major mental illness
- I am pregnant
- I have received CBT for depression in the past 2 years
- I did not complete the necessary assessments and visits
