This trial is looking for adults with early-stage gastric cancer to compare two types of surgery. Participants will undergo either a minimally invasive proximal gastrectomy or a total gastrectomy.
You may be able to join if
- I can speak and read English, Spanish, Japanese, or Korean.
- I have been diagnosed with non-metastatic gastric or gastroesophageal junction cancer confirmed by a biopsy.
- I am scheduled for surgery with the aim to cure my cancer.
- I am at least 18 years old.
You may not be able to join if
- I have a malabsorption syndrome.
- I have narcotic dependence with an average daily dose greater than 5 mg of oral morphine equivalent.
- I am unable to comply with the study procedures or follow-up, as determined by the researchers.
- I am pregnant.
