This trial is looking for Black adults with uncontrolled asthma. Participants will help evaluate a new program and share their experiences with asthma care.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I am an adult 18 years or older.
  • I identify as Black and as either Hispanic or non-Hispanic.
  • I have been diagnosed with persistent asthma.
  • I get my asthma care at a partner health center.
  • I have uncontrolled asthma symptoms.

You may not be able to join if

  • I do not speak English.
  • I have serious mental health issues that would make it hard to participate.
  • I have participated in a listening session.

About This Trial

This study is an efficacy-implementation trial to: 1. evaluate systematically the efficacy of BREATHE in 200 Black adults receiving care at urban federally qualified health centers (FQHCs) for uncontrolled asthma; and 2. identify multi-level barriers and facilitators to the widespread adoption and implementation of BREATHE in FQHCs.
