This trial is looking for adults who have some pain and anxiety while waiting in the emergency department. Participants will engage in coloring activities to see if it helps reduce their pain and anxiety scores.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I have a pain score greater than 3.
- I am over 18 years old.
- I can give informed consent.
- I speak English.
- I am not at risk for aggressive behavior.
- I have a Glasgow Coma Scale score of 15.
- I have a Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale-Anxiety score greater than 6.
You may not be able to join if
- I have concerns about aggression risks, including thoughts of suicide or harming others.
- My Glasgow Coma Scale score is less than 15.
- I require critical care evaluation.

Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:
* Triage Pain Score \> 3
* Age \>18
* Able to provide informed consent
* English-speaking
* without concern for aggressive behavior
* Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS) of 15
* Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale-Anxiety (HADS-A) Score \> 6
