This trial is looking for Arab Americans with type 2 diabetes who want to learn more about managing their condition. Participants will receive diabetes education in Arabic and can use a text messaging program for support over three months.

- I am a participant of Metro Caring
- I self-identify as Arab
- I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes
- My HbA1c level is 7.5% or higher in the last 30 days
- I can speak, read, write, and understand English and Arabic
- I have a cell phone that can send and receive text messages

- I am pregnant
- I am currently participating in another diabetes-related study

* Are a participant of Metro Caring
* Self-identified Arab
* Diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM)
* HbA1c ≥7.5% in the last 30 days
* Able to speak, read, write, and comprehend in English and Arabic
