This trial is looking for families whose child is hospitalized for asthma. Participants will receive standard care plus additional support after leaving the hospital and complete surveys over a year.

- I speak English or Spanish
- I am at least 18 years old
- I live in Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia
- I have a child aged 4-12 years who is hospitalized due to asthma
You may not be able to join if
- My child has a chronic medical condition other than asthma
- My child is involved in another study related to asthma treatments
- My child is in foster care
- I do not live in Washington D.C., Maryland, or Virginia
- I do not speak English or Spanish

About This Trial
Caregiver-child dyads will be recruited during child's hospital admission for asthma exacerbation. Recruitment sites will be mainly Children's National Hospital Sheikh Zayed campus, as well as regional partners: Holy Cross Hospital, and Mary Washington Hospital. Inclusion Criteria:
1. speak English or Spanish
2. are at least 18 years old
3. live in the District of Columbia, Maryland, or Virginia (DMV)
4. have a child aged 4-12 years who is hospitalized due to asthma exacerbation.
