This trial is looking for young people aged 11 to 14 who have experienced stress or moderate depression in the last year. Participants will use specific apps on their mobile devices to help collect information about their mood during puberty.

You may be able to join if
- I am between the ages of 11 and 14.
- I have my own mobile device and can download required apps.
- I experienced a stressful life event in the last year.
- I have moderate depression.
You may not be able to join if
- I have previously participated in the Healthy Minds Program.
- I regularly practice meditation.
- I have had manic episodes or psychotic symptoms.
- I currently have thoughts of suicide.
- I have taken hormones or an IUD in the last month.
- I take medications that affect my heart or brain.

About This Trial
Starting at puberty, female adolescents are nearly three-times more likely to develop internalizing disorders, like depression, while male adolescents are two-times more likely to develop externalizing disorders, like attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Eligibility Criteria
Inclusion Criteria:
* Between the ages of 11 and 14
* Have their own personal mobile device and capability to download the MyCap and Healthy Minds apps
* Experienced a stressful life event within the last year, or endorse moderate depression (defined by a CES-DC score 16 or higher)
