This trial is looking for children aged 5 to 17 who have a moderate asthma attack and can speak English. If you join, you may receive early treatment with magnesium sulfate to see if it helps avoid hospitalization or lessen the time needed in the emergency room.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 5 and 17 years old.
- I have a moderate asthma attack.
- I can speak English.
You may not be able to join if
- I have a chronic lung disease other than asthma.
- I have cerebral palsy.
- I have congenital heart disease.
- I am tracheostomy dependent.
- I have myasthenia gravis.
- I am pregnant.
- My parent or caregiver does not speak English.
