Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults aged 40-80 who are either healthy or have mild cognitive issues. Participants will do speech exercises and surveys using an iPad and will be in the study for about 3 years.

You may be able to join if

  • I am enrolled in the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center or the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention.
  • I am cognitively unimpaired or have been diagnosed with Mild Cognitive Impairment.
  • I am between 40 and 80 years old.
  • I have completed a study visit in the last 12 months or have one scheduled soon.
  • I have provided blood plasma for Alzheimer's disease testing.

You may not be able to join if

  • I am not currently enrolled in the Wisconsin Alzheimer's Disease Research Center or the Wisconsin Registry for Alzheimer's Prevention.
  • I have been diagnosed with dementia.
  • I have impaired understanding or do not want to give my consent.
  • I have major neurological conditions.
  • I have speech disorders.

About This Trial
The goal of this observational study is to validate changes in speech as a measure of cognition in individuals at increased risk of Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD). This study aims to clarify how speech may be affected by Alzheimer's disease. Participants will complete speech collection sessions and a survey at home using an iPad.
