Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for refugee families living in Chicago for less than three years. Participants will join a group intervention aimed at improving family support and mental health.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I am from Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, or Yemen.
- I have lived in Chicago for less than three years.
- I have at least one adult caregiver and one child aged 12 or older in my household.
- At least one family member has a GHQ-12 score greater than 3.
- I can provide written consent to participate.
You may not be able to join if
- I am not from one of the specified Arabic-speaking countries.
- I do not have at least one child aged 12 years or older in my household.
- I arrived in the U.S. as a refugee more than three years ago.
- Someone in my family has developmental disabilities that prevent participation.
- I have severe mental health issues, active substance use, or am in family crisis.

To participate in the study, the families must meet the following criteria:
1. Country of origin: Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine or Yemen
