This trial is looking for adults with depression who want to try a new brain treatment. Participants will undergo brain scans and an accelerated treatment with transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) to see how their brain responds.
You may be able to join if
- I am between 18 and 65 years old.
- I can provide my own consent and understand English.
- I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder.
You may not be able to join if
- I cannot speak English.
- I have conditions that make it unsafe for me to have an MRI.
- I have untreated medical, neurological, or psychiatric conditions.
- I have metal implants in my head, heart, or neck.
- I have had brain surgery in the past.
- I have used cortisol medications or had electroconvulsive therapy.
- I have other psychiatric or neurological illnesses.
- I have a personal history of serious head injuries.
