Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for older adults who are cognitively normal, have mild cognitive impairment, or mild to moderate Alzheimer's disease. Participants will undergo various tests, including blood samples and brain scans, to help understand the connections between different markers and brain changes in Alzheimer's.

You may be able to join if

  • I am between 60 and 90 years old.
  • I have someone who can provide accurate information about my abilities.
  • I can undergo brain scans within specific timeframes.
  • I am willing to comply with study procedures.
  • I can speak the language used in the study tests.
  • I am open to being contacted for future research.
  • I scored between 16 and 30 on the Mini-Mental State Exam.

You may not be able to join if

  • I cannot have PET scans due to pregnancy or other health issues.
  • I had a negative amyloid PET scan in the last 6 months.
  • I have a history of stroke or seizures in the past year.
  • I had cancer in the last 5 years, except for certain skin cancers.
  • I have had alcohol or drug dependence in the past year.
  • I have serious psychiatric symptoms affecting my participation.
  • I received Alzheimer's treatment in the last 6 months.
  • I am HIV positive without controlled medication.

About This Trial
Bio-Hermes-002 is a 120-day cross-sectional study that will result in a blood, CSF, retinal, digital, MRI, and PET brain imaging biomarker database that can be used to determine the primary objective.
