Who this trial is looking for
This trial is looking for adults who are carrying the cystic fibrosis gene or are not carriers. Participants will answer questions about their health and experience a heat challenge in a sauna.

- I have been genotyped as a CF carrier or control
- I can speak and read English
You may not be able to join if
- I have been genotyped as a CF patient
- I have been diagnosed with Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
- I have had a heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or atherosclerosis
- I am currently pregnant
- I am taking beta blockers or diuretics
- I am a prisoner
- I cannot provide my own written informed consent

About This Trial
The goal of this observational study is to examine the effect of the Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Carrier state on the risk for dehydration and other CF-specific fluid-and-electrolyte disorders in male and female adults.
The primary aim of the study is to estimate the risk of electrolyte disorders attributable to the CF carrier state in a genotyped cohort.

Inclusion Criteria:
* Previously genotyped as a CF carrier or control
* Comfortable speaking/reading English
Exclusion Criteria:
* Previously genotyped as a CF patient
* Diagnosis of Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes
* History of heart attack, stroke, heart failure, or atherosclerosis
