This trial is looking for adults with obesity, chronic kidney disease, and heart failure. Participants will help researchers learn how these conditions affect kidney function.
Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?
You may be able to join if
- I am between 18 and 75 years old
- I have a BMI over 35
- I have normal kidney function
- I have been diagnosed with heart failure with preserved ejection fraction
You may not be able to join if
- I have a diagnosis of a chronic illness
- I am currently pregnant or breastfeeding
- I have hemoglobin levels below 7 mg/dL
- I had an acute illness or hospitalization in the past 3 months
- I cannot stop using NSAIDs
- I have certain serious health conditions like cancer or advanced kidney disease
- I have a history of allergic reactions to iodine-based contrast dyes
- I use nicotine or recreational drugs, or I am a chronic drinker

About This Trial
This research study wants to learn about Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) with Obesity, and Heart Failure with preserved Ejection Fraction (HFpEF) and better ways to evaluate these diseases. HFpEF means that the heart is not able to fill properly with blood while it is resting so the amount of blood pumped out to the body is less than it would be if it was filling properly. Eligibility Criteria
Criteria for Cohort 1: Healthy Participants
Inclusion Criteria:
* Adults 18-75 years old
* Normal kidney function
* No heart failure
* BMI 25-30kg/m2
Exclusion Criteria:
* Diagnosis of chronic illness
* eGFR\<60mL/min/1.73m2
