This trial is looking for adults with asthma who are currently using inhaled corticosteroids. Participants will undergo tests to measure how well their lungs are working after using specific asthma medications.
You may be able to join if
- I have been diagnosed with asthma
- I am between 18 and 75 years old
- I have mild to moderate asthma symptoms
- I have been using inhaled corticosteroids for at least 3 months
- My lung function test shows FEV1 less than 80% of predicted
- I have a 10% improvement in FEV1 after using a bronchodilator
You may not be able to join if
- I am currently smoking or have smoked more than 10 pack-years in the past
- I am currently vaping nicotine
- I am pregnant or breastfeeding
- I have had a respiratory infection in the last 4 weeks
- My FEV1 is less than 50%
- I cannot tolerate inhaled corticosteroids or fast-acting beta agonists
- I am taking beta-blockers
- I have used glucocorticosteroids or oral methyl-xanthines in the last 30 days
