This trial is looking for patients who are having their first heart bypass surgery. Participants will help researchers learn about a new tool that checks blood flow during the surgery.

You may be able to join if

  • I am over 18 years old.
  • I am having my first scheduled heart bypass surgery.
  • I can provide written consent to participate.
  • I can complete quality of life questionnaires.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have had heart surgery before.
  • I need emergency surgery.
  • I am having other surgeries at the same time.
  • I am only having a single bypass surgery.
  • I am having a minimally invasive bypass surgery.
  • I cannot undergo a specific imaging test called CCTA.
  • I cannot provide written consent or follow the study procedures.

About This Trial

The purpose of this study is to learn more about a tool called Transit-Time Flow Measurement (TTFM). TTFM uses sound waves during surgery to check how well blood is flowing through blood vessels. This helps doctors see if the blood flow is good during coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG), which is a type of heart surgery
