Who this trial is looking for

This trial is looking for adults with obesity or overweight who also have type 2 diabetes. Participants will take either the drug aleniglipron or a placebo for 76 weeks to assess its effects.

Are You a Good Fit for This Trial?

You may be able to join if

  • I have a BMI of 27 or higher.
  • I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
  • My blood sugar level is between 6.5% and 10%.

You may not be able to join if

  • I have type 1 diabetes or other types of diabetes.
  • I have had severe low blood sugar or don’t notice when my blood sugar is low.
  • I am being treated for diabetic eye problems.
  • I have gained or lost more than 11 pounds recently.
  • I have had or plan to have bariatric surgery or other obesity treatments.

About This Trial

This is randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of the long-term efficacy, safety, and tolerability of multiple doses of aleniglipron in participants living with overweight or obesity and T2DM. Participants will be randomized to aleniglipron or placebo for a total of 76 weeks of treatment.

Inclusion Criteria: * Signed Informed Consent * Have a BMI ≥27.0 kg/m2 at Screening * Have a diagnosis of T2DM according to the WHO classification or other locally applicable standards, with HbA1c ≥6.5% (≥53 mmol/mol) to ≤10% (86 mmol/mol) at Screening Exclusion Criteria: * Have type 1 diabetes, …
