This trial is looking for adults with obesity or overweight who also have type 2 diabetes. Participants will take either the drug aleniglipron or a placebo for 76 weeks to assess its effects.
You may be able to join if
- I have a BMI of 27 or higher.
- I have been diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
- My blood sugar level is between 6.5% and 10%.
You may not be able to join if
- I have type 1 diabetes or other types of diabetes.
- I have had severe low blood sugar or don’t notice when my blood sugar is low.
- I am being treated for diabetic eye problems.
- I have gained or lost more than 11 pounds recently.
- I have had or plan to have bariatric surgery or other obesity treatments.
