This trial is looking for nursing home residents with depression who want to try a behavioral health program. Participants will attend six sessions over three months and answer some questions about their experience.

You may be able to join if
- I feel psychological distress.
- I have five or more chronic health conditions.
- I am at least 18 years old.
- I am able and willing to participate in the study.
You may not be able to join if
- I plan to stay in the nursing facility for less than 7 days.
- I have more than mild cognitive impairment.
- My roommate is already in this study.
- I am at high risk of suicide.
- I am starting a new psychotherapy treatment.

The goal of this clinical trial is to test a behavioral health program (Interventions for Stressful Transitions in Later Life, InSTILL, for Individuals) for skilled nursing facility residents. Inclusion Criteria:
* Psychological distress, as indicated by a score Patient Health Questionnaire- 2 ≥ 2 OR Patient Health Questionnaire-9 ≥ 5
* 5+ chronic conditions based on Elixhauser Comorbidity Index
* Aged ≥ 18 years
* Able and willing to participate in the study
