This trial is looking for children aged 6 to 12 with or without dental anxiety. Participants will experience different dental environments to see which one helps reduce their anxiety and discomfort during dental cleanings.

- I am between 6 and 12 years old.
- I speak English or Spanish.
- I have had at least one dental cleaning before.
You may not be able to join if
- I had a dental cleaning in the last 4 months.
- I plan to move out of the area in the next 6 months.
- I have an intellectual or developmental disability.
- I have a disability that affects oral care.
- I have a medical condition that puts me at increased risk.
- I take anti-cholinergic drugs.
- I have braces or plan to get braces in the next 6 months.

Inclusion Criteria:
* Male or female, aged 6 through 12 years, of any race/ethnicity;
* English- or Spanish-speaking child and parent;
* Have experienced at least one prior dental cleaning;
* If recruited from the emergency department, Emergency Severity Index (ESI) must be level V or IV (to ensure…
